【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementoftheout-of-planeresponseofgeosyntheticstoaforcethatisappliedperpendiculartotheinitialplaneofthesample.1.2Whenthegeosyntheticdeformstoaprescribedgeometricshape(segmentedsphereorelliptic)formulationsareprovidedtoconvertthetestdatatobiaxialtensilestress-strainvalues.Theseformulationscannotbeusedforothergeometricshapes.Withothergeometricshapes,comparativedataondeformationversuspressureisobtained.1.3Thistestmethodismorecommonlyusedtotestgeomembranes.Permeablematerialsmayalsobetestedinconjunctionwithanimpermeablematerial.1.4Thistestmethodrequiresalargediameterpressurevessel(greaterthan450mm).InformationobtainedfromthistestmethodmaybemoreappropriatefordesignpurposesthanmanysmallscaleindextestssuchasTestMethodD638orTestMethodD751(BurstingStrength).1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
